Scholarships

At the 2010 Fall Conference, it was voted that CTAM would try a new direction for the Joyce A. Schultheiss Memorial Scholarship Fund. Money raised for the scholarship program will now be awarded to individual theatre group members to assist in attending either Master Classes or the Fall Conference each year.

Anyone who is an active member of a local theatre group that has paid their dues to CTAM will be able to apply for a scholarship. The amount awarded will be a portion of the registration fee only — not the food and lodging portion. No more than two individuals per theatre group will be eligible for scholarships per year, but there is no limit on the number per group that can apply.

Scholarship requests may include registration and housing, but not travel expenses.

CTAM is expecting the applicant to pay part of the expenses, along with some support from the home theatre group. Though not mandatory, CTAM would like to see local theatre groups start their own scholarship program if they do not have a program already established.
