Accreditation Program

CTAM’s accreditation program is designed for the serious theatre enthusiast. Credits are earned by attending the Fall and/or Spring Conventions, AACT Fest, CTAM Regional Workshops, Master Classes, ancillary programs sponsored by local groups and accredited by CTAM, and CTAM’s accreditation program is designed for the serious theatre enthusiast. Credits are earned by attending the Fall and/or Spring Conventions, AACT Fest, CTAM Regional Workshops, Master Classes, ancillary programs sponsored by local groups and accredited by CTAM, and CTAM committee participation (see below).

Credits can be earned only by CTAM Associate Members and only while they maintain their Associate Member status. Upon receiving the required number of credits, an Individual will be accredited in one of four areas: Accredited Actor Community Theatre (AACT); Accredited Director Community Theatre (ADCT); Accredited Technician Community Theatre (ATCT); and Accredited Administrator Community Theatre (AAdCT).

To earn the accredited status, an Individual must accumulate 50 hours in one special area with at least 10 hours earned in each of the other three areas. Credits can be earned only by CTAM Individual or Family Members.  Credits are earned as follows:

• One credit per workshop hour
• No cap for conferences or Master Classes
• One credit for attending Spring or Fall conference
• One credit for attending state AACTfest
• Two credits for attending regional AACTfest
• Three credits for attending national festivals

Certificates are awarded for attaining a certain number of credits as follows:

@ 25 credits overall
@ 50 credits overall with at least 10 in one area
@ 100 credits overall a certificate of recognition presented at the Fall conference.
